Five clubs looking for the right player

Five clubs are looking to strengthen by signing one new player each. Read the club and player descriptions and pick the most suitable player for each club.

Clubs

Diddington Rovers
Diddington Rovers are conceding a lot of goals and are also having problems maintaining possession in midfield. They need someone who can help them to improve defensively, keep hold of the ball and provide some much needed leadership when the going gets tough.
Carby United
Carby United’s problem is that they are a bit one-dimensional and predictable. All of their attacks come through the middle and they’re not really getting the most out of their big centre-forward.
Milton Wanderers
Milton Wanderers play great possession football and rarely lose the ball in dangerous positions. Their defence is solid and the midfield has no problem controlling the game in the middle of the pitch. They recently signed a top striker, but despite generally having most of the possession, they are struggling to create quality chances for the forwards.
AFC Greenpark
AFC Greenpark are a pleasure to watch. They play a very attractive style of free-flowing football and have a lot of flair within the team. One weakness they do have though, is that they are a bit lightweight. They can sometimes be bullied out of games by more physical teams.
Dedling Town
Dedling Town have a good starting eleven and there are no obvious weak points. However, their squad is pretty thin and there are a number of positions that they don’t have much cover for.

Players

Player A
Lee Corcoran is a winger. He’s extremely quick and very direct. He can play in a more central role if necessary, but he’s at his best when bombing down the wing and either cutting in and shooting, or whipping crosses into the box.
Player B
Omar Amoah is an out and out centre-forward. He’s fast, strong, good in the air. He’s a great finisher and he’s also a set-piece specialist. His first touch is magnificent and has tremendous positional awareness.
Player C
Andnej Krawczyk can play at centre-back or right-back, and he’s even featured in the centre of midfield when needed over the last couple of seasons. He’s reliable in any of the three positions and he never lets anybody down.
Player D
Thomas Brunner is a holding midfielder. He can play further up the pitch but he is most effective in a deeper role. He provides a lot of protection for the back four and is very good at organising those around him. On the ball he keeps things simple and controls the tempo well.
Player E
Michael Dolan normally plays as a central defender, but can sometimes play as a right-back too. He’s very good with the ball at his feet and likes to play out from the back. He is also good at attacking set pieces.
Player F
David Martínez is an attacking midfielder and can also play as a number ten. He has a great range of passing and scores quite a few goals too. His biggest asset is his ability to link play between the midfielders and forwards and is brilliant at threading intelligent through balls into the box for the strikers to feed on.
Player G
Adam Sabri is a central midfielder. He is a natural leader due to his determination and will to win. He’s dynamic and has a good range of passing. His ability to win the ball is what sets him apart though. He’s a great tackler and his tenacity and battling spirit gives his team a real cutting edge in midfield.
Player H
John McDonald is a left-back who can also play as a left-sided centre-half. Defensively he’s very solid and specialises in defending 1v1s. He’s good going forward, but it’s defensively where he really excels.
